At Sirmione dalla fonte Boiola, at the bottom of the lake in front of the Grotte di Catullo (Catullo Caves), sulphurous water gushes out at more than 70°. During the boat trip around the peninsula, you can see the bubbles rising to the surface and smell the distinctive scent of sulphur.
Already known to the Romans for their beneficial properties, the waters of the Boiola springs are channelled and distributed to various spas including the famous Terme di Catullo, where they are used in several therapeutic applications, particularly those related torespiratory and auditory disorders.
In the immediate vicinity of the spa, you can visit Scaligero Castle in Sirmione, go for lakeside walks, play water sports or simply relax and enjoy the wonders of the landscape.
